Course Overview

This online module is designed to facilitate the training of the equivalent of six (6) contact hours of continuing education, accredited through co-sponsorship by the Institute of Continuing Education of the College of Social Work Professionals of Puerto Rico.

This module consists of tree (3) sections: 1) Introduction, definition of concepts and the fundamental principles of the interview in different contexts, binding with ethical aspects (2) Types of interviews and examples of interviews according to the phases of the intervention model or its use and (3) Concept and examples of motivational interviewing, in mental health scenarios, Head Start and Child Protection according to the Children’s Bureau.
